“Take upon You My Whole Armor”

We are supposed to put on the Armor of God… but what is the battle? This episode proposes that the battle is one for our agency (an idea that should be familiar!)–our ability to act rather than be acted upon. This episode will discuss:

  • The components of the Armor of God
  • The core issue of agency
  • Factors that limit our agency
  • How we can overcome or take into account our limitations and weakness

Jared, you questioned why For Strength the of Youth would be in the readings for an adult Sunday School. I have spent a number of years serving in Young Men’s organizations, and it was brought up that it is important for parents of teenagers to know what’s in For Strength the of Youth. Discussing it in the adult SS class is a way to educate parents and any other adult that interacts with the youth.

Good point. As I said, the recording this episode won me over to the value of discussing the topics included in the FTSOY, as long as it isn’t used as a one size fits all checklist.
